Ilona Erlebachová

Ilona Erlebachová has been competing in individual mushing at the top level for 20 years. She and her dog Eclipse are multiple Czech, European and world champions in bikejoring. Together they have brought home 8 gold, 6 silver and 4 bronze medals from World and European Championships.

The year 2023 was one of their most successful seasons. At the World Championship in Leipa, Germany, they became world champions in bikejoring and in the relay, and they won a third gold medal for the fastest women’s time across the wheeled disciplines of the whole championship. They also became Czech champions in bikejoring and did not lose a single race all season.

Ilona’s main discipline is bikejoring (cycling with a dog), sometimes scootering (riding a kick scooter), in winter skijoring (a skier and a dog) and, for variety, combined or pulka.

She came to FirstMate food through the experience of her niece Aneta Erlebachová, who had fed it to her dogs before her:

“My dog Eclipse has always been rather hard to feed, but when we switched to FirstMate food we had no problems at all. This ultra-premium Canadian food tastes really good to my dog and gives him the energy he needs to perform well in every season of the year.”

We write about her races on the blog.
